PTSO organizes many activities during the year including: Fall Festival, The Holiday Shop, book fairs, Talent Show, March is Reading Month activities, enrichment speakers, Auction, and many more. Additionally, PTSO offers financial support to school families for fieldtrip expenses and work hard to support a welcoming and helpful school environment. The PTSO does so much to enhance the education experience for our students and the school. Please consider joining PTSO to help out even if you can only help with one event or fundraiser. Your help is appreciated!
The purpose of the AALC PTSO is:
1. To identify needs particular to Ann Arbor Learning Community, a public K-8 charter school, and to provide financial support in meeting those needs, when appropriate.
2. To assist in identifying and organizing parent volunteers to support school activities, when appropriate.
3. To serve as a forum for communication among parents, teachers, students and administrators.
4. To receive and administer funds and to operate exclusively for educational and community building purposes.Ann Arbor Learning Community’s Parent/Teacher/Student/Organization (P.T.S.O.) is a group of parents, teachers and students committed to improving the learning environment and strengthening the sense of community at AALC. We have an executive board as well as several committees, but the success of P.T.S.O. depends on involvement from all parents, teachers, and staff.
PTSO meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 3:30 pm in the AALC library.
