What's in an Owl Pellet? Plenty! In our science unit we've been exploring owls. Recently primary students got the chance to discover what an owl eats by dissecting owl pellets, the compressed regurgitated leftovers of an owl's last meal! Inside the pellets we found fur, bones, skulls and teeth, and a hands-on learning experience we won't soon forget.

Math Finger Game One fun game we play to practice addition facts from zero to twenty is called Finger Game: •Two players face each other with fists closed. •On the count of three, both players use both hands to show any number of fingers. (Hold fingers still; a fist is zero.) •Quickly add up the total number of fingers and call out your answer. •Whoever adds up all the fingers first gets a point. •We also played the game with three people, each person using only one hand. Try it out as one way to practice with your child, or better yet, get two kids to play!
